Japanese Tea & Sweets Experience

The special experience gives a simple but elegant introduction to some tastes of Japan. While our presentation of sweets is informal by traditional Japanese standards, we intend to focus on excellent tea and allow a taste of mochi sweets ("daifukumochi"), a glutinous rice-based sweet, to highlight and contrast the savoury umami of fine Japanese green teas served in traditional styles.  Please allow at least one hour to fully appreciate this experience.

Your Japanese Tea & Sweets Experience Includes (per person): begin with a bowl of our Ceremonial Matcha Usucha green tea served with a trio of Mochi sweets, followed by your choice of our fine Japanese green teas served in traditional teaware choose from: sencha, gyokuru, houjicha, or matcha genmaicha.
