This popular jade oolong is famously named after Bodhisattva Guanyin (or Kannon), the Goddess of Compassion and Mercy. This medium bodied tea has a very refined and complex flavour - sweet with some floral notes that will linger on the palette - almost heavenly! The description of 'jade' oolong, reflects the vibrant colour of the leaves and their balled shape, resembling a tiny piece of green jade. Tie Guan Yin from Anxi province is one of China's Ten Famous Teas. In order to avoid bitterness and preserve the fragrance, please adjust the water temperature to around 95 C and steep for 5 mins or more. (please steep the tea according to your own preference)
