We liken fine Ceylon green tea such as this, the 'green tea, for people who often don't prefer green tea'. The reason is, Sri Lanka has a very different terrior than other green teas of other regions, and for some it just hits a taste note for those difficult to please tea drinkers hungry for a green tea they can enjoy. This version hails from Dimbula region of Sri Lanka and is made from the more delicate young leaves of the Camellia Sinensis tea plant. Young Hyson is a leaf style of green tea made famous in China, where it was regarded so highly, during 18thC Britain it levied a higher tax than all other teas. The Chinese version was also one of the original teas defiantly thrown overboard during the infamous Boston Tea party. The drinker will find Radella Young Hyson is a bright, brisk green tea with a subtle sweetness, slightly astringent taste, and refreshing aroma. Some say it carries notes and mouthfeel that reminds of a good sheng puer tea.
