This slightly oxidized Oolong from the Anxi region of Fujian Province has a spring-like and refreshing aromatic character. With a light floral aroma, creamy body, and buttery mouthfeel, it is like a cross between Tiequanyin and Jin Xuan. The liquor has some vegetal notes and a lingering sweet finish. This tea is great for gong fu brewing as the flavour continues to develop with each steep. Its emerald-green rolled leaves reveal notes of delicate white flowers and orchard fruit on the nose. Their infusion, with a beautiful green-golden colour, exhibits sweet flavours and intoxicating aromas of apple blossom, melted butter, fresh bread, Bartlett pear, green mango and jujube; complex with a lingering aftertaste.
