One of the most revered of Taiwanese Oolongs: Grown at 1300 meters in the Tai He region of Alishan Mountain, this tea is a good choice for those learning about gaoshan (high mountain) tea; it is more forward and less subtle than some others. This tea has a fragrant and fruity aroma and yields a yellow green infusion. It has balanced acidity and pronounced length. We buy this tea farm direct thanks to our friend who specializes in this region. The tea farmer is Sheng Yu Ye and the garden is located in the “village” of Tai He in the Alishan growing district (see map.) The garden is on a VERY steep slope and to get into it you need to take a small monorail. Grower: Sheng Yu Ye Tea Master: Chen Chung Chia Cultivar: Qing Xin Wulong Region: Alishan, Chiayi County Altitude: 1300m Oxidation: 22% Unroasted
